Server Outage 5-22-14

Posted 23 May 2014 - 12:48 AM
Update @ 11:42pm EDT: Internap has dispatched technicians to the site and is working to get the failed UPS back online or bypassed. In the meantime, we are moving the power cords on two of our internal switches to restore connectivity to customers whose machines are not actually off (including all voice server customers). That operation should be completed within approximately 30 minutes.
Update @ 12:22am EDT: Internap tells us that there is a failed breaker that is preventing them from connecting up either utility or generator power. They have not provided an ETA on fixing that condition. We are also still waiting for their on-site tech to move our power cords.
Update @ 12:34am EDT: Internap has finished moving the switch cords. They are still working on restoring the power and say that it will be a complicated, multi-step fix.
